With great pleasure it is informed that ASTICON 2016, a National conference of Indian association for study of sexually transmitted Disease and AIDS is being organized at AIIMS Bhopal From 25th to 27th November 2016. Sexually transmitted infections carry a huge sexual morbidity to cause lifelong liability and economic burden. India has world largest youth population, 28% of Indian population is in between 10-24 years of age. Young adults account for 32% of AIDS cases reported in India.....
During the past two decades the panorama of sexually transmitted diseases has undergone a dramatic transformation due to expansion of the list of pathogens which is sexually transmissible. The true incidence of STI will never be known, not only because of inadequate reporting but because of the secrecy that surrounds them. Most of them are not even notifiable....
